What Was Happening?
Continuous harvesting, precision chopping to 12-15mm particle length, inoculant spraying, and 6-layer high-density stretch wrapping into waterproof 100kg bales.
Why Was This Important?
Green fodder starts losing soluble carbohydrates within 4 hours of cutting. Rapid baling preserves maximum nutritional value and prevents secondary heating or mold formation.
Full Field Chronicle
Speed is paramount in high-quality silage production. On 28th October 2025, our mechanized forage harvester completed Cutting Cycle #4 on 30 acres in Anand. Within 90 minutes of cutting, the green chop was treated with microbial silage inoculants (Lactobacillus plantarum) and baled using our heavy-duty hydraulic baler.
The resulting 100 kg airtight bales undergo controlled anaerobic fermentation, locking in 16.5% crude protein and high metabolizable energy for dairy farmers across Kaira District.
Agronomy & Field Team Notes:
Achieved average cut weight of 44 tonnes/acre. Moisture content at harvest measured 68%, perfect for high-quality lactic fermentation.
